The Swiss Chamber Academy has proved itself since its first edition in 2014 with undeniable success. Each season, some eighty particularly talented students from all over the world are invited to take classes in performance and participate in an intense phase of rehearsals. This mentoring leads to several subscription concerts featuring string quartets, string and wind ensembles as well as singing. 

Among the works featured in the 2025 edition is Pavane couleur du temps by Frank Martin. Written in 1920 for a string quintet with two cellos, this short piece draws inspiration from a tale by Perrault and belongs to the Ravelian tradition of reimagined courtly dances. With its melodic nobility and a more tormented central section, it reflects the influence of French composers on Martin at the time.
